“How do you face the giants from your life?”
“Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea ; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass ; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Did you ever play king of the mountain as a child? When you were on the high ground, you could shove the others down, even though they were entrenched and determined to overtake you. In Joshua 14, we read that Caleb faced a city of giants , and yet because he had wholly followed the Lord, he had the strength of the Lord and said,”Give me this mountain.”(Joshua 14:11–12) All of us face giants every day : giants of doubt, fear, discouragement, financial ruin, sickness, broken relationships, depression, stress, insomnia, etc. Do you think the giants in the Promised Land took God by surprise? God knew they were there all the time – they were part of His purpose to strengthen His children’s faith. It’s time you got a bulldog’s grip on the Word of God and believe what He says to be true. Remember, you are not alone when you’re facing the giants. Also remember that the giants are not born as giants but they become giants. So, in the same matter if you let all these giants mentioned above to be born in your mind ,and heart, and life, they will grow and very soon will dominate and control you. David had one of the two options when he saw Goliath ; to run away saying, “Run, he is too big , or to say,” He is so big that I could not miss him.” Jesus promised that He never leaves you, never forsake you. Believe and trust on His promises, and with a loud voice declare them. Make every thought captive to the obedience of Christ or you will become a captive to that thought. So, remember : prayer, the Word, faith, fasting, intimacy with the Lord, praises and fellowship will overcome your giants. And if you feel that you are on the edge of the cliff, remember that one of the two things can happen ; He will catch you in your falling, or He will teach you how to fly ! Hallelujah!
