Psalm 55:22
” Cast your burdens on the Lord and He will sustain you ; He will never let the righteous fall.” There was a man carrying a heavy load of grain down a country road. Another man in a horse-drawn wagon saw him and said ,”Mister,do you need a ride? So the man walking got in the wagon, but he kept the load of grain on his shoulders. The wagon driver said, “Man, put that down and relax !” But the man answered, “Oh no. It’s enough to ask you to carry me without having you carry this also.” Have you ever done that to the Lord? You say,” Lord I’ll let you save me, but I’ll carry my own burdens.”. How foolish we are to do this with the God who hung the stars and planets. If you can trust the Lord to save you from hell, don’t you think you can cast your burdens upon Him right now? When is He willing to carry your burdens ? “Daily” Psalm 68:19-20 “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who DAILY bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves ; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.” “How many” burdens is He asking you to cast on Him ? “ALL”
1 Peter 5:7” Cast ALL your burdens on Him because He cares for you.”What happens if you don’t obey and cast on Him your burdens? You’ll be full of anxieties, stress, discouraged, hopeless,no peace, no joy, depressed, etc. But if you decide to cast them on Him, you must let them go. You put Him in charge of them. One of the reasons that the Lord is delaying His deliverance, salvation and blessings to us is because after we “cast our burdens on Him,” we’re still trying to solve them or carry them, bothering the Lord with the questions,” How long ,Lord?” And the Lord has to stop working on our behalf and calm us down and convincing us that we can trust Him. If you cast your burdens on Him, let Him drive and be in charge and you move to the passenger seat, and keep your mouth shut, don’t try to give Him instructions or directions,”where to go ?”,and “how to do it?, and “when are you going to do it ?” 2 Corinthians 2:14” Now thanks be to God who always carry us in His chariot of victory in Christ…” Hallelujah!
